Introduction:
- Discuss syllabus
- Fill out KWL Assessment form
- Brief lecture on the history and development of photography and the relevance of traditional film in the age of digital technology
- Depending on light conditions we shall take photos using pinhole cameras either as an at home assignment or during class
- Talk about lab/darkroom safety
- Talk about camera and film
- Lecture about aperture, shutter, depth of field, and exposure
- Study for pop quiz 2 and take quiz
- Talk about composition followed by a scavenger hunt
Assignments due for the following week:
- Acquire necessary materials listed on materials list
- Students must bring in cameras to class next week as we shall be shooting with studio lighting in class
- Start reading Horenstein chapters 4, 5, and 6
